The Unibrow

A unibrow or monobrow, medically known as a synophrys, refers to a “confluence of eyebrows”; i.e. the presence of abundant hair between the eyebrows, so that they seem to converge to form one long eyebrow.
Immersed in family over the weekend in good ole Tampa (established in 1887), i’ve heard, and been badgered by friends, family and relatives on an unending and fruitless topic. It seems the islanders of the United States Common Wealth of Puerto Rico are not only awe struck but confused as to why such a strapping young chap such as myself has decidedly neglected the fomenting growth of hair that thus belows from between my, what could be, two eyebrows. Yes, I’ve come to terms with it and I can now say it loud and pround (as if it’s a movement or some shit), I have ONE eyebrow. Upon some minimal web searching I have come to find that, oh no, it has been stigmatized most heavily in Western culture (if there ever was such a phrase). It seems that Buju Bantons’ line “Destruction of the soul is vanity” line has little to no pertinence on the matter. Most people who mention/notice it (as if it’s possible to not notice it) want it gone; shaven, laser removed, plucked and I think I even heard bleached over the this weekend. Nay I say with my most sincere apologies. At this point I relish in it and I believe it is the source of most of my powers. What I can do now is revel in it’s mystery and glorify its’ comedy. So on that note I give you the unibrow line up:
